How I spent the last 8 days

Raymond and I have enjoyed living in the farm house. This was a great opportunity for us to carry on the tradition of  the Love homestead. This house was built by Raymond's grandfather -Pa Pa (Bill) Love, Sr. in 1929. He borrowed $4000 to build the house and the crash of '29 caught him as well as the nation in the hard times of the Depression. It was in the 1940s before he was able to pay off the loan. Bill and Bobbie moved into the house in 1961.
Each generation has put love and care into the house. Now, our turn has come.

This was Raymond's bedroom. We use it as a TV room.

The kitchen and utility were carpeted.

This picture shows the new tile floor we had installed.

This is the back wall of the utility room with the new 18 inch tiles.

Note the mirror on the wall -thanks Raymond for a special bit of luxury.
By removing the closet from the TV room, we created the space for the shower.

The back bathroom was created from a closet. The use of the space is amazing. The walls and floor were redone to update it from its 1970's look.

The house is solid like our heritage. We will enjoy the new features.
Thanks to Tommy Tomerlin and his crew for all this work done in 8 long days.
