The church at Whiteface has been our family's home church since 1954. Mom and Dad joined with the 5 kids. We were taught, married, and loved by these people. Raymond and I married in 1972. Dad's memorial service was in this church in 1995.
Ed and Fae Jennings and Mom were honored by a going away party this last Sunday.
A meal was served and then a service of memories and blessings followed.
Lots of hugs and a few tears were shared at the good-bye.
Mom and Dad baby-sat with these brothers when they were a baby and a toddler.
Bro. Harold and Janelle Harrison
The latest young couple with a baby whom Mom loved.
This is the oldest member of the congregation, Mrs. Cotton.
My heart was blessed by speaking with these people again.
Bro. Ed was the song leader when I began playing the piano at church. Between him and Lloyd Wall, I played organ or piano for services. I was untrained and had less skills but they allowed me to feel confident and able to serve. Ed told me this day he was proud that I had "joined the ranks of church pianists."
Fae was my GA leader and lead me to learn Scriptures. I became a Christian by these seeds of knowledge.
Mom was a faithful member who served in the nursery many years. She loved the babies and sang "Jesus loves Me" more times than anyone can count.
I'm so glad they did this for her. It looks like you all had a really nice time.
