Easter at our house

In Lamesa, we visited Gebos' Farm store. Skylar got to hold (and want) a baby chick. PaPa was all for the plan. Mommie said "No". I think it had something to do with chicken 'squackie'. This is a rough spelling of what Grandma Faye Love called chicken poop.

Time to hunt the eggs. Skylar and I had decorated hard boiled eggs earlier in the afternoon. So the bunny hid them plus the extras that i had fixed before they got here.

There were several cascarrones -Mexican traditional eggs. The empty shell is filled with confetti and a tissue paper cover is glued over the opening. The joy is to break them over someone's head and fill their hair with confetti.

We had a great time. The best part was having a kid to ask what Easter really means.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is our salvation.
