Abbott Boat Ramp Dedication

We have a wonderful neighbor who has been instrumental in Nasworthy Lake homeowners associational work and the Fourth of July fireworks promotion.

Ric, Paul Alexander, Karen Abbott, and the mayor of San Angelo,Alvin New.
Karen shared her day by honoring those who helped her.

"I don't sing!" was her response to the KLAN reporter who wanted a few words for the 6:00 news.

The 4 generations of the family gathered to enjoy this day.

Whiteface First Baptist Church party for Mom

The church at Whiteface has been our family's home church since 1954. Mom and Dad joined with the 5 kids. We were taught, married, and loved by these people. Raymond and I married in 1972. Dad's memorial service was in this church in 1995.
Ed and Fae Jennings and Mom were honored by a going away party this last Sunday.

Bro. Harold Harrison presented them before the church and they received corsages and a boutonniere.

A meal was served and then a service of memories and blessings followed.

Lots of hugs and a few tears were shared at the good-bye.

Mom and Dad baby-sat with these brothers when they were a baby and a toddler.

 Bro. Harold and Janelle Harrison

The latest young couple with a baby whom Mom loved.

This is the oldest member of the congregation, Mrs. Cotton.
My heart was blessed by speaking with these people again.
Bro. Ed was the song leader when I began playing the piano at church. Between him and Lloyd Wall, I played organ or piano for services. I was untrained and had less skills but they allowed me to feel confident and able to serve. Ed told me this day he was proud that I had "joined the ranks of church pianists."
Fae was my GA leader and lead me to learn Scriptures. I became a Christian by these seeds of knowledge.
Mom was a faithful member who served in the nursery many years. She loved the babies and sang "Jesus loves Me" more times than anyone can count.

Skylar's First Fishing Experience

Here goes Papa and Skylar for their 1st time to fish.
With a dough ball for bait, Skylar waited patiently.
And waited....
And waited.....
And then the bait was GONE! The "bandits" took the bait and broke the line.
Maybe next time....

Skylar's week in Gran and Papa's care

It is Skylar's turn to visit with us. What a week!
Because we are moving, Skylar got to spend her days helping with various work. She spent time with PaPa on the tractor.

Special treat time- we made homemade ice cream.
Add some hot fudge and cherries......
On Thursday, we finally got to a point where we all needed some rest. Look out, GranBob, here we come!
Cool and refreshing! Let's play until it is too dark to see!
