Skagway

In Skagway, Bobbie found a case with beautiful necklaces and I chose 1 for my birthday. Being such a great mother-in-law, she told Raymond this was what I would like to have. He bowed up and said he wasn't ready to buy my gift. Then he decided to go to the bathroom across the street and Bobbie followed me to the quilt store down the street. We met Jerome and as we walked back up the street, we entered a store looking at the art work. Here was Miranda the sale lady. We were back in Heart of Broadway, the store with the necklace. He looks her in the eye and asks to see the necklace again. Without a blink she replied "Oh, it has been sold." I was so disappointed. Bobbie went back to look and Jerome helped me to feel sorry for myself.
My sweet husband couldn't stand it. He told to feel in "this pocket".
I have worn the necklace and each time I have someone comment on what a pretty necklace,
Here is Jerome with us.

Today we are to meet Jerome Stueart for lunch. It will be so good to see him.
When we get either home or to a 3 g location I will put up my pictures.
The scenery is glorius.
The old saying of "wish you were here" is true. Each person needs to experience the beauty of the North

We have our breakfast served each morning by Gene our butler. I even have a picture of Raymond chosing his sandwich and dessert for having high tea here in our room.

Hubbard Glacier

The 1st day was sailing from Seward to Juneau and traveling by Hubbard Glacier.
The icy shore is over 6 miles long. Raymond even wore his coat!
Our local drug store is having a contest where people send in vacation photos with their store's sacks displayed. I am hoping to win a Myer's Drug store gift certificate.

On the train from Anchorage to Seward

The train ride was an experience. Each time the engineer spotted wild life, he would slow the train so we could take photos and enjoy the chance to see the bear, whales, and salmon.
The clouds parted as we flew into Anchorage. We saw these glaciers
from the air and then from the train.

Sunday School with GranBob

When we were having S. S. At Midway last Sunday. GranBob "taught" Reagan. Please note that she taught her to be resourceful. Notice how GB is pushing the merry-go-round.

Here we are and where do we eat? A brewery or pub can usually be trusted to have a good sandwich. The Glacier Brewhouse had a great steak with real veggies. Tomorrow we will be riding the train to Seward.
