Scootering in Water Valley

Time to ride for the Cushmans. Saturday morning we left Water Valley camping area and drove over the divide to Robert Lee. It takes devoted people to take off when it is 45 degrees.

After breakfast we went back toward the camp because of the grass fires between Robert Lee and San Angelo. The riders took a senic loop toward Mertizon. I was driving the chase vehicle. When Raymond stretched up his legs, I didn't know why - then I saw the rattlesnake he had run over.

A stop to rest a bit. I got a quick picture with the guys as a group.

Kaelyn another lover of Pa Pa

Just as the other granddaughters, Kaelyn has fallen in love with her Pa Pa. She gave him the only kiss we saw during our brief visit.
"Hello GranBob"

"There's my Pa Pa!"

A little dark, but Kaelyn was looking at Raymond.

Then the two of them enjoyed their time together.

A Sweetheart

My mother-in-law and Kaelyn's great grand mother is a wonderful lady. She bought this suit for Kaelyn and we are rewarded with a big smile.

Reagan's visit

See her plantings in the flowerbox.

A ride on Pa Pa's tractor. She honked the horn a lot.

Back in San Angelo, we went to T-Bears for breakfast. This girl is still the champion pancake eater.

Driving with Pa Pa

As we were on the Dean Ranch to do our oil wells, Reagan was given a chance to see 2 antelopes, a herd of cattle- including a calf getting it's dinner, and a glance at a bobcat down in the grass. There was a tarapin/ turtle at the tanks. She named him (shyly).
Then the first: she got to drive while sitting in Pa Pa's lap. She really did keep it on the road.
What a fun time we had.

A new taggy for Reagan

I had made a taggy blanket for Reagan when she was born. It is the most loved one I have ever made. It is thread bare now and she (according to her Mom) needed a new one. So they went to the fabric shop and bought a new piece of flannel. Rhonda and I sewed a new one and so far, she is willing to try it out.
