Rylee's birthday

We are enjoying Rylee here today. This is her 5th birthday. We have talked to Momma and Reagan, Aunt Allie, Mimi Reeves. Now we have baked the cake and while it cools we are going to eat lunch at her favorite place Chick-fil-A. More later when we have the cake decoreted.

Flock of pelicans

Once in a while, we get to see an unusual flock of birds. I am not good at identifying birds but these pelicans are something I've seen in pictures before. They have been on the lake for a couple of weeks and this morning was my first chance to get a picture.

Anna Bell's 95th birthday party

Bettie and Kenneth Swanner invited family and friends to celebrate Anna Bell Swanner's 95th birthday. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Over 35 people came and wished Aunt Anna Bell happy birthday.
I saw cousins that I hadn't seen in way too long.

Bettie Swanner put together a collage of photos. These included Grandma Nance, Uncle Marvin, Ethel, 5 generations, and several childhood photos.

Skylar and the pedal tractor Feb. 2010

As the granddaughters have come and visited the farmhouse, I have taken pictures of them and the pedal tractor we keep in our living room. Skylar and PaPa in the fall of 2004.

This last week-end, Laura, Brad, and Skylar came in for a fast trip to visit and to purchase a new vehicle. Skylar wanted to "really ride" the tractor. PaPa carried it outside and she was finally strong enough to pedal and make the tractor move.

The smile tells it all.

Trip to Plano feb. 3

Bobbie had a cortisone injection this morning. She has rested and iced the site this afternoon.
