Reagan with Us

Reagan rode many miles this trip.
On a tricycle

On the Honda watercraft

On the California scooter

On the Goldwing

Then back to the farm.

She worked and played hard.
It was great to have her with us.

Final look

In less than a month Raymond has really cleaned up the old chicken houses.

The tin chicken house is on the right side of this picture.

Now the work has been done.

We can see the crop north of the house.

More changes

When Bill was young, he and a cousin made concrete blocks for a chicken house here at the farmhouse. Last year the roof was about gone and a wind caused the blocks to fall.

Raymond has hired a backhoe and a dump truck to remove the rubble.

7 loads later, the concrete floor is remaining and the place looks better.

What else?

Along with the windows being replaced, our refrigerator began having more problems. Raymond said "Enough!". We went into Lamesa and bought this new Kitchenaid refrigerator.

Finished Job

This is how the house looks now. What a difference. And these are Energy Star rated so this should help our electric bill also.

Before out the bedroom room windows.

Now with the new windows. ( Sorry the curtains are already up in the bedroom.)

The old windows were all red. Now the window is off white with the new red trim. The yellow stayed the same.

We are so proud of this house. It has been a joy to move in and improve what has been the family house for the Loves since 1928.

New windows

Exciting times here at the farmhouse! We are replacing the original 1928 windows. They are so sand blasted that we cannot see clearly out.

Taking out the old.

Empty space.

New double hung insulated window being put in place.

I can see out.

16 more to go.

Driving Leasons

Rylee has been anticipating her driving lesson with Pa Pa. This afternoon she got her chance.

Yes, she was concentrating and she did a great job.

She was very concerned about not obeying the law. I told her she could be unbuckled because an adult had given her permission. She has such an obedient heart.
Watch out world, she is already looking forward to driving.

Other swimmers

Rhonda, Raymond, Jason, and I were also in the water. I don't have a close up picture of Rhonda but here are the rest of us.

The First to Slide

It really came down to bribery. Pa Pa told the 3 oldest that he would give $5 to the first to slide. Rylee earned the money.
 Pa Pa did some encouraging.
 Off she goes!!!
Next, the diving board. This is her favorite. She is our best water duck at this time.

Remember the Banana Boat?

When my girls were young, GranBob and PaBill bought a "banana boat" to pull behind their boat. 4 kids could ride- sometimes. Jeff was youngest and got put on the back seat. He lost his place when the boat began to pull because the rope would pull up the back of the raft. Now, we have a noodle that is about 8 inches in diameter. Really too big to rest on so Rylee and Skylar decided to ride it.
Help Aunt Laura!

Try some more!

Success!
