Father's Day

I thought you might like to see a picture of my Daddy. Since he died in 1995, I have missed being
able to visit with him. He was a fine example of a man of character and he loved his family both in actions and words. We still laugh about his standard "I love you sugar" when we called. He didn't call a name because he couldn't tell who he was talking to on the phone.
Now on Father's Day, I am able to honor the man that I helped to make a daddy.

Happy Father's Day to you!

Reeves Girls at San Angelo

We were getting ready to swim and we looked around to find Reagan in PaPa's life jacket.
Since Rylee is bigger, she thought it might fit her better.

There are no pictures on my camera of us swimming. 2 adults and 2 children. Go figure.
PaPa is getting ready to go to the coast fishing so we had loaded the boat on the trailer. The girls had fun playing while Daddy and PaPa looked everything over.
Yes, they are in their nightgowns. This is Grandma's house.

Back to the Same Games!!!

"Give me a kiss" says PaPa.
"No, Rylee, MY PaPa" adds Reagan.

And the big winner?
PaPa!!!!

Happy 38th Anniversary

38 years ago, Raymond and I began our lives together. This morning, our granddaughter, Rylee. asked what I looked like in my wedding dress. So, here is a picture from our wedding day.
No, I couldn't still wear the dress but I do still love the man who married me!

Hawaii 2010

We stayed on Kauai at the Kauai Beach Resorts and Hotel. The place was on the beach with swimming pools for those who don't like to swim in the salt water.

We found the Island Palm restaurant which had wonderful breakfast and we ate supper (for the city folks - Dinner) there 1 night. The fresh flower arrangements were beautiful.

The chickens are all over the island. The story is that the hurricane in the 1900's destroyed the chicken coops and the islanders never could catch all their flock. These chickens are on the roadside and at Costco! The crowing wakes you up from your night's rest and your naps. This picture was made at the dock where we were going on the boat ride to see the Fern Grotto -as in "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis Presley. The hurricane in 1991 cleaned off all the ferns so it was a disappointment to see. The rocks are not expected to be covered again with ferns in our lifetime.

Raymond and I walked along the beach 1 day and I carried my camera.

Raymond's smile on his birthday.

I'm happy to get my feet wet in the Pacific.
On May 30, we drove to Waimea Canyon on the west shore. This is a beautiful drive of twisting, turning roads and from sea level to 4,000 ft. in 6 miles.

While there I did get a photo of this Brazilian cardinal at the state park.

What a wonderful time we had.
