Skagway

In Skagway, Bobbie found a case with beautiful necklaces and I chose 1 for my birthday. Being such a great mother-in-law, she told Raymond this was what I would like to have. He bowed up and said he wasn't ready to buy my gift. Then he decided to go to the bathroom across the street and Bobbie followed me to the quilt store down the street. We met Jerome and as we walked back up the street, we entered a store looking at the art work. Here was Miranda the sale lady. We were back in Heart of Broadway, the store with the necklace. He looks her in the eye and asks to see the necklace again. Without a blink she replied "Oh, it has been sold." I was so disappointed. Bobbie went back to look and Jerome helped me to feel sorry for myself.
My sweet husband couldn't stand it. He told to feel in "this pocket".
I have worn the necklace and each time I have someone comment on what a pretty necklace,
Here is Jerome with us.

Today we are to meet Jerome Stueart for lunch. It will be so good to see him.
When we get either home or to a 3 g location I will put up my pictures.
The scenery is glorius.
The old saying of "wish you were here" is true. Each person needs to experience the beauty of the North

We have our breakfast served each morning by Gene our butler. I even have a picture of Raymond chosing his sandwich and dessert for having high tea here in our room.

Hubbard Glacier

The 1st day was sailing from Seward to Juneau and traveling by Hubbard Glacier.
The icy shore is over 6 miles long. Raymond even wore his coat!
Our local drug store is having a contest where people send in vacation photos with their store's sacks displayed. I am hoping to win a Myer's Drug store gift certificate.

On the train from Anchorage to Seward

The train ride was an experience. Each time the engineer spotted wild life, he would slow the train so we could take photos and enjoy the chance to see the bear, whales, and salmon.
The clouds parted as we flew into Anchorage. We saw these glaciers
from the air and then from the train.

Sunday School with GranBob

When we were having S. S. At Midway last Sunday. GranBob "taught" Reagan. Please note that she taught her to be resourceful. Notice how GB is pushing the merry-go-round.

Here we are and where do we eat? A brewery or pub can usually be trusted to have a good sandwich. The Glacier Brewhouse had a great steak with real veggies. Tomorrow we will be riding the train to Seward.

Entertainiing the Kids

PaPa and the girls had a good time while I looked around in Chico's.

Then on to the carosel. Sorry. I only caught PaPa and Rylee. Rhonda, Reagan, and GranBob all were riding.

Reagan's 1st tractor ride

"Oh my goodness, a tractor. For me?"
"This is fun."
"I drive."

My Papa

Reagan and I have teasing each other about who Papa belongs to. This has been fun because Reagan is capable of understanding that we are teasing.

Momma's finished bathroom

Here are the pictures of the bathroom. It was very accessible after her surgery.

The shower.

Going to Dinner

Rylee asked Uncle Jackie to ride by her on the way home. Bless his heart, he climbed into the 3rd seat and talked with her all the way home.

Reagan has finally gotten to ride in Papa's car.

At dinner the girls were giving Papa hugs and enjoying me fussing because he was "my Papa".

Fun in the Sun

Jackie, Raymond and Rhonda on the porch while the girls played in the pool.
Reagan and Rylee playing.

Rylee and I on the lawn. Thanks Jackie for taking the picture.

Clelia II

Bobbie found this new ship in January and asked if we would like to cruise the Great Lakes. My dream vacation has been to see Niagara Falls. It started there! The cabin was spacious, the food was good, and the service was excellent. By cruising for a week, we were able to be on 4 of the lakes and looked across the bay at Lake Michingan. The country is beautiful and the people were inviting. What a great vacation!

Hallelujah we are in Dallas

The girls met us at IHOP for breakfast. After hugs and kisses. We are headed to San Angelo.

We got into DFW last night. Our luggage has taken a separate vacation and were left in Minneapolis. They arrived in San Angelo on Monday night. Lesson learned: NEVER pack your medicine and make-up. Yes, I knew that but I had developed a false sense of security.
